Sometimes the quickest way to explain an idea isn’t with words, but it’s with a simple diagram or sketch. Engineers use blueprints, scientists use charts, and designers use quick “napkin sketches” to get ideas across fast. You don’t need to be a great artist; you just need to be clear enough that someone else understands your point. Of course, there are a lot of digital tools to use for diagrams, but sometimes you just need a low-tech way to share an idea.
Your Task:
Pick an Idea: It could be how to make your favorite sandwich, a game strategy, directions to a place, or how something works (like a phone charging).
Create a Diagram or Sketch:
Keep it simple and clear.
Use arrows, labels, or symbols to guide your viewer.
Make sure someone could follow your diagram without you explaining it.
Test It: Give your sketch to a partner and see if they can explain your idea just from looking at it.
In the text box, share:
What parts of your diagram worked well?
Was anything confusing for your partner?
How could you improve it for even more clarity?
