In your internship, you will be balancing different demands on your time, from working on projects to attending meetings and many other commitments. Having a system to stay organized and manage your time well is key!

Ready to become a time management pro during your internship? Let's get started! 🚀

Your task:
Watch the video above to learn more about time management and then imagine that during the upcoming week in your internship, you have three different team meetings (Monday from 1-2 pm, Wednesday from 10-11 am, and Thursday from 4-5 pm), you need to spend at least 10 hours on your main project, you need an hour a day for emails and following up with people, and your manager has asked you to schedule two different check-in meetings with them. You also need to make sure you build in some daily breaks plus lunch.

Think about how you would map out your calendar and add your answers to the following questions in the Skillbuilder text box.
1. What strategies did you use to plan out your calendar? What items did you add first?
2. Now that you have seen what a week in an internship might look like, what do you think you will need to do to keep yourself on track?
3. What are some ideas you have for continuing to improve time management skills?

Take it to the next level if you want! You can practice mapping out a calendar. If you have a Gmail account, you can use Google calendar or if not, you can download a weekly calendar template from Canva.
