Austrian Power Giants

Utility structures like giant metal power line towers (pylons) are necessary, but they often ruin beautiful views. In Austria, designers and engineers decided to solve this by making them works of art.

They created the Austrian Power Giants, a concept for giant, functional power towers shaped like local animals, such as a Stag or a Stork. The idea is to turn a necessary eyesore into an exciting landmark that:

Promotes Regional Pride: The animal represents the local culture.
Increases Acceptance: People stop complaining when the infrastructure is beautiful.
Boosts Tourism: The towers become must-see photo opportunities!

This project shows how good design and engineering can transform something ugly into a public masterpiece.

Your Task:

Your challenge is to follow Austria's example by selecting a piece of common, typically boring infrastructure (like a fire hydrant, trash can, or traffic pole) and designing a replacement that is both fully functional and a memorable piece of public art for your chosen location.

Your Submission Must Include:
1. Choice and Theme: Identify the boring infrastructure item you chose (e.g., a phone box), and the fun theme you will use to redesign it (e.g., local history, a specific animal, or food).
2. A Catchy Project Name: A fun, memorable title for your public art project.
3. The Sketch: A simple drawing of your redesigned, themed, and functional infrastructure item. Explain the sketch.
4. The 3-Sentence Pitch to the Council: Write at least three complete sentences that clearly explain:
A. Why this beautiful design is the best choice for the area?
B. Why you chose that specific theme/idea for that location?
