What do your favorite shoes, app, movie, and snack have in common? A talented team used their different strengths and skills to take a concept from plans to reality. Together, they made something happen!
In your internship, you’re joining a team and tapping into their strengths as you collaborate on projects. You may get the chance to be the lead on your own project or join a project already in progress. Either way, you’re not just observing others using their powers…you get to use yours too! Everyone also has an area that’s not as strong as the others and are working to boost it. That’s where teamwork comes in!
Your task:
What strengths will you bring to the team? How can you improve an area that’s not as strong yet?
Step 1: Think back to different experiences you have had in and out of the classroom. What have you participated in and who have you interacted with? Are there different strengths and skills you feel like you developed during those experiences?
Step 2: Take the Student Future Ready Skills Self-Assessment and identify your top 2 strengths and your top area for growth.
Step 3: How could you use your strengths as part of your internship? What could you do to improve the area you identified for growth?
Step 4: In the Skillbuilder text box, write a short explanation of your strengths and area for growth.
