Alternative text, or "alt text," is a brief description attached to web images. This description plays a key role in making the web accessible for visually impaired individuals by providing a spoken description of the image content through screen readers. Watch the video to see what happens when alt text isn't included for someone visually impaired.
Your Task:
Create a flyer / poster explaining why content creators should use alt-text in their graphics and videos online. You can use a design tool, such as Canva, Google Drawing, or another tool of your choice. Assume your audience doesn't know what alt-text is or why it is so important to use for low vision or blind internet users. Please submit a LINK to your flyer in the text box.
IMPORTANT! Links must be set to: Viewed by anyone on the internet. Test your link using incognito / private mode. Watch our tutorial on Creating and Checking Sharable Links.
