In this Skillbuilder, you’ll step into the shoes of a teacher and create a quiz or test question for an upcoming unit in one of your classes. Whether it’s the structure of cells in biology, parallelograms in geometry, the causes of the American Revolution, or the physics of roller coasters, this is your chance to think critically about what you’ve learned and share that knowledge with your classmates. Your question can be multiple-choice, true/false, short answer, or something more creative—whatever you think would best challenge and interest your peers!

Your mission is to design a quiz question about any unit or topic you’ve recently studied. The goal is to test knowledge while also sparking curiosity and making classmates think more deeply. Choose a topic you enjoy or want to explore further, and build a question that brings that concept to life.

Here are some question styles and examples to inspire you:

Scenario-Based Question: Create a scenario related to the topic.
Example: “Imagine you’re an engineer designing a new suspension bridge. What forces must you consider, and how would you ensure the structure stays stable?”

Creative Choice Question: Let your classmates choose an option that shows their reasoning.
Example: “You’re a historian studying three potential causes of a major historical event. Which cause do you think had the greatest impact, and why?”

Artistic Expression Question: Invite classmates to show their understanding through visuals or creativity.
Example: “Create a labeled diagram or comic strip that shows how photosynthesis works, and explain one reason this process is essential for life on Earth.”
