Technology can be a helpful tool and it gives us access to tons of information, making learning more fun and easier than ever. But let’s be honest — whether it's your phone, tablet, or computer, spending too much time staring at screens can be a problem. An excess of screen time can mess with your sleep, make it harder to stay active, and even affect how you connect with friends and family. It’s important to find the right balance so that you can enjoy the benefits of technology without it taking a toll on your health and happiness.

Your Task:
Ever wonder where all your time goes when you're on your phone or tablet? Whether it's social media, video games late at night, or texting friends when you should be doing homework, it’s time to get to the bottom of it! You and a partner are going to interview each other to find out what takes up most of your screen time. Then, you’ll come up with a plan to help your partner cut down their screen time by just 30 minutes each day.

After your interview, write an email to your partner explaining what you discovered about their screen time habits. Then, suggest a solution that could help them trim off those 30 extra minutes. Your solution could be anything from setting up a specific app that limits screen time, creating a calendar reminder, or even leaving their phone out of their bedroom at night. But remember, your plan needs to be a SMART goal—it should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. In your email, explain why you chose this solution and how it will help your partner reach their goal.
