Engineers Wanted!

Each year, the US needs about 400,000 new engineers. While Black or African Americans represent 14% of the US population, they represent only 9% of new engineering degrees every year.

Your Task:
What ideas do you have for bringing more diversity to the engineering profession? Maybe an awareness campaign? A mentorship program? What else? Thoroughly explain your idea.
