Nowadays, hackers and scammers are everywhere on the web. It can be hard to tell the difference between a real site or a phishing or hacking attempt. And that's for folks who grew up with the internet. Imagine how much harder it might be for people who don't regularly use the internet as often?

Write a text message or email to an elderly family member OR a friend who rarely uses the internet. Give them advice on how they might protect themselves when browsing online from scams or hackers. Reflect on how YOU know (or suspect) something isn't quite right online: Do you check the URL? Do you notice if the cookies or popups look strange? Put your advice in language a non-tech-savvy person will understand and submit it in the text box.
