Every day, tons of perfectly good food ends up in the trash—food that could have been eaten, shared, or saved for later. Whether it’s leftovers from lunch, that slightly squishy apple, or the bread that got a little too stale, we waste a lot more than we realize. Food waste is a serious environmental problem, not just because of the wasted resources, but also because of the harmful effects on our planet. In places like South Korea, they’ve come up with smart ways to tackle food waste, like turning it into compost, livestock feed, or even biogas to power homes, all while cutting down on harmful emissions. So, what if we could come up with our own creative ways to make sure that good food doesn’t go to waste and help protect our environment at the same time?

Your Task:
Think about a place where you've seen food being wasted —maybe at a restaurant, your school cafeteria, or even at home. Now, imagine how awesome it would be if you could come up with a cool way to remind everyone to waste less! Your challenge is to create a catchy acronym (like LOL or ASAP) and use it to design an eye-catching flyer. This flyer should get people thinking about how they can cut down on food waste and be more mindful of what they throw away. Whether it’s a funny phrase or a clever tip, make sure your acronym is something everyone will remember. Once you’ve got your idea, sketch out your flyer with your new acronym and make it as fun and memorable as possible! Include a link to your flyer or explain it in the text box.

IMPORTANT! Links must be set to: Viewed by anyone on the internet. Test your link using incognito / private mode. Watch our tutorial on Creating and Checking Sharable Links.
