Gen Z, the trailblazing generation wading through the murky waters of financial stress in a shaky economy, is storming ahead toward financial freedom and starting their own businesses like never before. With Forbes revealing that half of Gen Z is living from paycheck to paycheck, traditional goals like owning a home or tying the knot are taking a backseat.

Due to this, many Gen Zers have turned to alternative career paths. Much of the generation believes entrepreneurship and becoming an “influencer” will bring more financial independence than standard 9-to-5 jobs. CNBC reports that 50% of Gen Z aspire to become entrepreneurs or start their own businesses, a stark contrast to the previous generations’ pursuit of stable jobs and traditional education paths.

Social media, previously a pastime, has evolved into a profitable career choice for numerous members of Gen Z. A significant 84% see being a "creator" as a viable occupation, while 78% believe entrepreneurship is achievable. This shift toward content creation as a profession is reshaping various industries.
