Video game designers didn’t invent character classes. They borrowed the idea from tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons, where players pick a class such as Warrior, Mage, or Rogue, and that choice comes with its own strengths and weaknesses. A Warrior might charge straight into a fight, while a Rogue relies on stealth and speed instead, so the class you choose shapes how you play the whole game.
It's a new school year and you're the main character! it’s time to build your stats, pick your skills, and get ready for whatever boss battle comes your way.
Your Task
Design the video game version of yourself for this school year. [bulleted list below]
Character Name: Real name, nickname, or gamer tag.
Character Class: Creator? Strategist? Leader? Explorer? Something else?
Top 3 Skills: Three abilities you already have (creativity, persistence, teamwork, etc.).
Level-Up Skill: One skill you want to improve this year.
Main Quest: One goal you want to accomplish.
Power-Up: A person, habit, or tool that helps you succeed.
Boss Battle: One challenge you might face, and your strategy for it.
Then bring your character to life: write a short bio, plus a few details on what they look like, wear, or carry. Share your character with a classmate and compare your characters.
