Now Playing: Your School Year

A good movie trailer packs the characters, the goals, and the biggest moments into just a couple of minutes, giving the audience just enough to make them want the full story.

Your Task:
Imagine your school year is a movie and you’ve been hired to cut the trailer.

1. Movie Title: Give your school year a memorable title.

2. Genre: Comedy, adventure, drama, documentary, sports, action, sci-fi, or invent your own.

3. Main Character: That’s you. How will you introduce yourself to the audience?

4. The Story: At least three moments, events, or goals you predict for this year.

5. The Open: How the trailer starts and grabs the audience’s attention.

6. The Challenge: One general obstacle a student could face this year, and how your character responds.

7. The Big Goal: What your character is working toward.

8. Tagline: One sentence that makes people want to see the movie.
   

Write your plan in order, from the opening scene to the final title screen. Your goal is to make someone reading it think, “I’d watch that movie.”
