Imagine robots that aren't hard and clunky, but are soft, squishy blobs that can change shape like living cells! In 2025, researchers at Seoul National University invented Particle-armored liquid roBots (PBs). These tiny wonders are liquid drops (like water) wrapped in tons of super water-repelling particles for extra toughness. They can squeeze through super-tight spaces, tumble and roll, grab and carry objects by engulfing them, merge with other blobs to get bigger, and even recover after big falls, all without falling apart! They move using sound waves (ultrasound), and scientists say this could lead to amazing things like delivering medicine right to tumors inside the body or exploring tricky, dangerous places where normal robots get stuck.

Imagine you're now part of an awesome robotics design team competing for a big grant! Come up with one creative, future use for these blob robots (in the next 5–10 years) to solve a real problem that regular stiff robots can't do well, like navigating super-narrow spots, working inside the body, or handling delicate tasks.
