In Portugal, hotter and drier weather has led to massive wildfires, destroying huge areas of forest, many on steep, hard-to-reach land.

Instead of waiting for adults to fix the problem, two teens built a solution: Trovador, a tree-planting robot that can navigate tough terrain, use AI to check soil, and plant hundreds of trees per hour. What started as a $17 prototype is now an award-winning innovation helping restore forests.
