"The Graying of America" refers to the growing proportion of older adults in the U.S. population, primarily due to longer life expectancy and declining birth rates.

Why it’s happening:

- Baby Boomers (born 1946–1964) are now retiring.

- Advances in healthcare mean people live longer.

- Fewer babies are being born compared to past decades.

Why it matters:

Healthcare: More demand for services, doctors, caregivers.

Economy: Fewer workers to support retirees through taxes.

Social Security: Strain on retirement systems and pensions.

Housing & Infrastructure: Need for age-friendly designs.

Your Task:
Imagine it's 2040 and 1 in 5 Americans is over 65. What changes do you think society will need to make? Brainstorm one innovation or policy that could help adapt to an aging population.
Examples:

- A robot caregiver

- Intergenerational housing

- Tax credits for eldercare
