Town Tour Guide

Time to be a tour guide! Some curious high schoolers are headed your way, and you're in charge of creating a Google Maps itinerary for their 2-day adventure. If you don't have a Google account, no worries! You can list 8-10 sites for them to see and give a brief explanation of each. You can do this with a partner, but remember that both of you need to submit your skillbuilder.

Your Task:
Here's how to create a map.

1. Decide what sites the group will visit. Be mindful of distances between places. Remember, they have two days to visit the sites.

2. Login to your Google account.

3. Search for and select “My Maps”.

4. Select “Create New Map”.

5. Give your map a name in the “Untitled Map.”

6. You'll see "Untitled Layer". Give your “layer” another, more specific name and save.

7. Put your cursor on the site and select “Add Marker” Title the place and write a brief description and select “Save”.\

8. When you are finished, select “Share” and then select “Anyone with this link can view.”

9. Add the url to the text box.

Or, if you don’t have a Google account, write a list of sites and a short description of each.
